Saturday April 27th two board members, Lonny Day on the Backhoe and Stuart Hazle with a shovel, removed the tree roots and stumps from Park A shoreline. Per the Michigan
Department of Environmental Quality rip rap or field stone was added to the shoreline to prevent it from being eroded away. The original cost estimate was $4,600, the cost of volunteer labor and for the backhoe $200 and stone $250, for a total of $450. The stone was provided by the Koutz Dairy Farm who has a gravel pit on the farm where all your stone and gravel needs can be met.
